April is coming

It is so hard to believe that today is already March 28th! I know I have not been good about updating the blog, but not much has happened! Although, in 14 days I will be relaxing on Maui with a Mai Tai in my hand :) I am going to Hawaii for a week with three friends on a trip to celebrate a high school graduation. I hope to update the blog daily to keep a travel journal of sorts, but we will see how that goes :)

Been busy at work, unbelievably busy, I think I will definitely need this vacation when it arrives. I have been working a lot of hours and plan to continue that over the next two weeks. I really need to get the department in a bit better shape book wise before I leave. It is amazing that we have been busy since November. We usually get a break in February, but that did not happen this year. I am hoping that it will slow down soon, but then again--job security in today's market is also very nice!!!!

As for the trip, we leave on the 11th and will be back on the 19th! We will spend five days on Maui and then two on Oahu. We are planning a helicopter tour, a luau, and a submarine ride. Will have to see how all that goes. Also visiting Pearl Harbor and we will try and drive around the island of Oahu.

Well not much else is new and I should head up to bed so that I can get up for church in the morning. Been a long day and am looking forward to some good sleep tonight.

March is here

Well after a week with the boys, I am back in Minnesota. Of course everyone was sick there and so I am still fighting the effects of yet another cold. What is going on this year?

It was relaxing though as the boys were in school during the day, so I only had them at night and mornings. Colin is growing by leaps and bounds and starting to get more words. You can definitely tell that getting the tubes in Brian's ears have helped him hear more. He is really starting to talk more and more--perhaps that is not always the best :)

It was weird to wake up this morning and not have to take anyone to school or worry about changing a diaper. Of course on the other hand, I am really missing the little boy voices yelling "MIMI", but I am sure I will get more of that over the years.

We celebrated Brian's 4th Birthday on Saturday--his actual birthday is later this week--he had a blast with everyone around. Although he does not always like being the center of attention :) It was a rainy dreary weekend after temps in the 60s on Thursday and Friday. While it was great being home, I am very happy to be back in my own home and in my own routine!!!
